MOUNTAIN GORILLAS TRACKING- 5 DAYS
Enjoy this complete primates adventure for 5 Days that will take you to Bwindi and Kibale in the western Uganda where you will see endangered Gorillas and Chimpanzees.
Day 1: transfer To Bwindi National Park
This is a Mountain gorilla tour and on this day, you will be picked by our company guide from your accommodation and then be driven to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Popular for half of the world’s mountain gorilla population, it is located in a mountainous area with a lowland forest in the outskirts.
You get to the park late in the afternoon and if time permits you may go for a welcome entertainment from some of the cultural dancers of the surrounding communities. Be prepared for an electrifying performance. Afterwards you can retire for Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort or Buhoma community Bandas.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Tour
Enjoy early morning breakfast to transfer to the park headquarters for briefing before setting off to the forest to track for the big fat hairy gorillas. At exactly 9:00 a.m, your guide will brief you about how your day will go and off you will go to discover these great history making apes. The period spent in trekking these humble apes is unpredictable depending on their movement. You will have to climb up and down steep rocks which is a little tiring. However, you will experience a rush of excitement once you lay eyes on these bulky creatures.After the trek get back to the lodge and Once again you will dine and sleep at either Gorilla Resort or Buhoma homestead.
Day 3: Drive To kibale national park
Savour a hearty breakfast while you prepare your self for another transfer this time to Kibale chimpanzee National park from Bwindi mountain gorilla forest. This park is reputable for harboring the greatest variety and concentration of primates found anywhere in East Africa. It harbors blocks of rainforests that offer some excellent shelter for birds therefore birding is possible here. After journeying through rolling hills and fields, you will reach in the late afternoon to go visit the crater lakes region in the evening. Have Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking Tour
Go for yet another thrilling experience after breakfast where you will go track chimpanzees in the forest. this will enable you view other primates like the colobus monkeys, Mangabeys, baboons, Bushbabies and many more not forgetting little creatures like squirrels and butterflies. You will have the company of a friendly guide who will make your walk informative and productive while making it interesting. He will be knowledgeable about both flora and fauna. Settle down for lunch and then in the afternoon you will go for a walk to Bigodi sanctuary for birding and discovering rare fauna and flora. You will be booked into Ndali lodge or Rwenzori Travelers Inn for dinner and a night.
Day 5: Drive Back To Kampala
Have breakfast and be driven back to Kampala with everlasting memories of your tour. You will have stops for lunch at the Equator and you can also take photographs. You will reach Kampala in the late afternoon to be transferred to a Hotel you were booked into for relaxing after trekking the wilds of africa. Dinner and overnight at Serena Hotel / Hotel Africana.
